| Review | Went in skimming some of the reviews, had a meh impression, but was really impressed. Its pretty darn good. You could tell that the people who made this really cared. Firstly, "Enlightenment is when you realize hating Chisato is what makes you love the other girls that much more." -lostmynic that said, I don't really hate Chisato, she just, well, cannot compete with the others, which is why I'm never going to see the anime. Also, although there is no true route, you can clearly tell which character the most effort was put in to. That is, masturbatory fantasies, I mean, the unlockable route, which I'm going to call the masturbatory fantasies true route for reasons. That said, there are 5 routes in total, Mifuyu, Satsuki, Isara, and lastly and leastly, Chisato, also, Michiru, in no particular order. Each one, except the masturbatory fantasies true route, deals with a particular issue in, might I say, politics. Like the third parties meddling with elections, or class discrimination, the underlining theme being how elections are never perfect in enacting democracy. That said, there is a route in which the elections take a backdrop to, erm....... stuff. Like there is a secret order of brainwashed(?) spies that collects intel on the rest of the school and one of them got half-murdered and heroine of said route is part of the secret order, sorta, and looking for the half-murdered spy, which is not brought up at all in any of the other routes. I get that covet operations in politics are probably a thing, but this is a bit much, even accounting for the setting with the student elected council having near complete autonomy in policy decisions. Anyway, ignoring the mess the kitty cat made, after completing a few routes, I'm not really sure with the specifics, the masturbatory fantasies true route that is by no means the true route is unlocked and the elections, again, take a backseat to friendship drama nakige, but really well fleshed out friendship drama. Like, the elections and the 'guy finding true love' cliche and 'bitch hating chocolate' setting, is just kinda tacked on to support the netori masturbatory fantasies true route friendship drama. But somehow it works, possibly because the election part was completely fleshed out already in the other routes. I don't have much to comment, except that it really does show that good writing easily trumps flashy plot devices all the time. Lastly, the art style is a perplexing combination of unique, and don't-have-to-'get-used-to-it', which is awesome. Love the art style.
