ReviewIf you're in for the H, just don't bother.

Parquet is an story about a dude (the MC) who's the result of an amalgamation of talents, ideas and memories put into one body to create the "perfect" human being. After a few comes-and-goes, he decides that being a "puppet" ain't enough and embarks into the unknown to know what it is to be "human". After a bad start, he gets to meet a purple/green haired girl called Rino and another blonde/turquoise haired girl called Tsubasa. Together with them, the MC starts its journey which, obviously, comes with its own amount of problems.

Frankly speaking, there isn't a single person that knows Yuzusoft that reads their VNs for the "plot", but for the cute girls and hentai stuff, the stories being a second thought. This VN, being an all-ages title, had to work its way out of its niche to actually give the reader a reason to keep reading without the previously mentioned reason of tiddies and ass. And, while it really tries at times, Parquet isn't actually that good of a title, it just exists, I guess.

If you wanted "Routes", then sorry, you'd have to clear the entire VN first to get to that, and even so, the "routes" don't take more than 15/20 minutes each to clear, so you're gonna be REALLY disappointed about that.

Hours to clear the entire thing: 8~10 hours
Final Score: 7
Girls: Rino > Tsubasa

< report >Who would be in it for the H in an all-ages game?

< report >You say that but I'm sure most people wouldn't think of Yuzusoft as a VN company that makes all-ages, yet here we are.

< report >Well, that warning is only helpful for people who can't read. Otherwise they'd see for themselves that it's all-ages. But if they can't read, then your review won't reach them either, RIP.

Your score doesn't seems to be line with your review to me, just saying. About 2 hours in, and frankly the story feels boring to me.

And isn't this NOT published by Yuzusoft but by their sub company (they even have a different logo too)? Should be enough of a indication that this title will be very different than Yuzusoft's main stuff

< report >Honestly, i very much agree with #4 here.
How can you rate this a 7 if you find so much wrong with it? Looking at what you did vote other yuzusoft games as i see sanoba witch at a 9 and dracu riot at a 7,5. Doesn't make sense to see this at a 7 given that context.

< report >I do know this is published by SOUR instead of normal Yuzusoft. As for why I gave it a 7 instead of lower.

- The MC isn't your typical moeblob that relies entirely on the heroine(s) to pro-actively help him out or whatever.
- Every character shown was there for a reason, and not just for filler.
- I was ready to give this a 6 until I saw that the After Stories have mini-routes.

The lack of H-scenes, although bad, doesn't affect me too much, I don't really care that much about a girl getting fucked or slurping blowjob noises, I want cute girls doing cute shit in a cute manner. I know I do have shit taste but what can you do.

Also, I gave D-R! a 7.5 because two of the heroines (the russian one and the autistic one) had shit routes and Nicola could've had a full route instead of doing whatever the fuck they did with her. Sanoba is the best Yuzuge and that's the hill I'm ready to die on.Last modified on 2021-08-31 at 06:34

< report >#7

1) My Yuzusoft SOUR comment was directed at the 1st line of your review and #2.
2) A score of 7 implies a 'good' rating. In #4, I was saying that no matter how I look at it in your review, I don't get that you felt Parquet was a 'good' Visual Novel (and I think i speak for a lot of people as well). Perhaps you might want to take the various points in #7 and add it into your review?

< report >i just finished prologue. and I'm already ranting inside my head.

a perfect perfectness of perfection, created by an amalgamation of different life experiences and happenings, is asking what it's like to be an "incomplete" human. sorry its impossible to ask that logically when you have all those amalgamations at your birth. you basically have 9999 or more life experiences than anyone could have at your birth. you are level 99 at birth, and you want me to buy that you're still level 1 in experience? wtf?

and no, this ain't spoilers. this is literally the first segment of the game which doesn't even cover 5 minutes.

yuzusoft or not, this premise is trash. the other reviews are giving this a low score. I'm gonna trust those low scores and drop this before I regret continuing.
