Review | Just like the other work of the author—Island—Himawari has a powerful and interesting setup, peaks somewhere at the middle of the game, but then fails to deliver at the end due to inconsistencies, plotholes, and the writer's stupidity/lack of education (I mean the dude doesn't know how mitochondria works). The game is still worth playing for the first two routes and their unusual backstory. If you want to end the game at its emotional peak, just stop after completing Aqua's route. Everything after that—Asuka's boring route and the backstory from the past that was supposed to give answers but instead created a bunch of plotholes—are likely to just disappoint you. In the same way, I advise against reading the short "sequel/afterstory". |
