ReviewThe art is gorgeous, the voices are nice, and the characters can be really loveable... but the writing is really hit or miss with a lot of misses. The common route is very long, taking up 8 of the 13 chapters in the game, and it feels really episodic instead of like one continuous building conflict.

Cardia herself is an amazing protagonist who grows a lot over the course of the game. On the flip side, the story has a lot of eye rolling moments. Characters don't always make believable choices and the plot kind of bends to what the story wants it to do, not what follows a logical progression. The thing that bothers me the most is that there's no continuity between the different routes and endings. Characters will miraculously live because you had high enough favor with them. Huge, world ending events will just not take place in other characters' routes with no explanation.

Considering the fact that you need to play the first 4 routes to even unlock the 5th, I don't understand why they would have so many inconsistencies between them. There were bits and pieces of the game that I enjoyed a lot, but overall, the bad writing and inconsistent routes made it a game I could've easily gone without playing.
