ReviewImagine a VN with a main character who has phimosis, is a premature ejaculator and is constantly made fun of for his small dick, that is actually less pathetic than your regular lovecom kirito Kun MC.
You cant? Then read Kusuaha.

What if you were sick of generic self insert Jesus kuns...
What if you were sick of drone heroines who instantly lose all personality upon the introduction of the main character to them?
What if you were sick of endless filler 30+ hour tediums of nothing
What if you were fed up with MC's who never take the initiative in anything, whilst the story drags them along like a dead cat on a leash

If you were wondering what if to the above questions, you would get something like Kusuaha.
However, you won't like it.... you will avoid it, fear it. After all, it's why all romcoms these days are just variations of harem collecathons with self insert MC's.
But it's what you would get if you were looking for something with a modicum of originality in the femdom genre.

Amidst an agglomerate of generic rom-com hentai's the doujin creators take it upon themselves to write the more interesting narratives.
Kusuaha feels like a passion project, created by someone that realised that there was nothing else out there that satisfied him, so he took it upon himself to make something original. Something

Perhaps the biggest point of praise for this VN is something that usually wouldn't be picked up on by the average reader. This being how it handles characters as "entities" inside the story.
I'm sure you've all read many VN's -in this case romcoms- where the entire story rotates around the MC. The MC "IS" the story. When the MC isn't on screen, all other female heroines just wait inconspicuously in the background, like NPC's, waiting for MC-kun to talk to them. It doesn't feel like they have their own "life" outside of the story or plot at hand.
This is even more prevalent the shorter the game is.
But Kusuaha is different. The MC is just another random at school and time moves forward whether he's there or not during story events. This combined with the fact that all other heroines aren't virgins or necessarily interested in him as romantic partners make for an interesting dynamic that you won't find in many other VN on the seven seas.

The main "driving force" of the plot is his relationship with his childhood friend Yumi, and how the heroines play into their relationship. I keep using the word heroines, but all other female characters aren't really romantic interests for the MC.
You might think this is a bad thing, but this is irrelevant, and it goes to show you don't need to force the "generic romantic relationship" to have interesting and fun female heroines in a nukigame setting.
No matter how much sex he has with the other females, they still have his best interests at hand and try to get him and yumi together. It's a rare case of a VN doing the "friends" dynamic right. Characters are written as friends, and as such act like you would find high schoolers act like. Surprisingly, there aren't really any bad endings to the story. The reverse actually, as the MC admits his feelings and confesses to the love interest (Yumi) in a couple of them.

My main complaints are, the artwork is some cheap 3d rendering that looks - well objectivly bad. Although bad artwork is no issue for me it may put off a few readers, and the routes are generally really short. We don't really get to know the other characters leaving no room for any growth, or any plot or story for that matter. The best way to describe this is by saying the story revolves around the MC but the plot doesn't.

All in all, a unique experience. You won't find many if not ANY other VN's with an atmosphere like this.

It's a pure fetish game, but it's written quite well and doesn't overstay its welcome.
