I was seriously surprised at the amount of content that was added on. The common route now has additional content and a new area, and the game portions during this common route also have a ton of content as well. I was only really expecting a few added routes but it was a lot more than that. It was also quite nice to give this a reread since it had been a long while and I ended up doing some of the old routes ontop of all the new ones.

The Shimapong tournament content is hilarious and took me by complete surprise, you will understand when you experience the main characters 'special ability' and its effects on the game. The other minigame I had played before and it is still decently fun.

On the specific new added routes though it was kind of up and down. Umi's new route is a good start even for the entire game because it's kind of like a extended common route. Shiki's and Shizu's routes had good first halfs but poor second halfs since like the original game the plot missed the mark on me again. To my surprise though I enjoyed Miki's route the most despite her being one of my least liked characters. That route was very funny in the first half and really heartwarming in the second, it had what I felt a lot of the other routes lacked.

To conclude on this, there were some really nice improvements in most aspects that really did up this game to a higher level for me. But it's not perfect, it still misses the mark when it comes to the dramatic ending moments and such. However because of all of the other improvements I was more able to forgive it because of the now very good entertainment quality that the rest of the game as a whole has. I mean im still screwing around with side content as I finish writing this up lol but I have seen enough to be satisfied.

9.4/10

First off, is it worth reading? yes it was a good time, there's plenty of entertaining reading and stuff to do. The drama is at a decent level, and the grand story is pretty decent too. But the best parts, well basically what I remember most fondly was not any of the dramatic conclusions but more so the common route making me as a reader feel like I was on holiday too.

The reason my rating isn't higher though is because what should have been the most impactful parts of the stories, which is the nakige (crying game) aspect just seemed to miss the mark on me, not sure how to put it but the magic was just not there for me this time and it kinda felt forced in a way.
