| Review | Muramasa is an amazing work of fiction. It has great writing, compelling characters, extremely detailed worldbuilding, and a solid emotional core. Rarely does a novel keep me glued to my seat from start to finish like Muramasa, whether it be through laughing, crying, or wanting to see what happens next to a character that I've grown really attached to. Like an Agatha Christie novel, Muramasa knows exactly what your expectations and assumptions are when you read a visual novel, and it plays you like a fiddle. Because of that, it is best to go into this story blind, without knowing the first thing about it. If you're thinking of picking this up, do not hesitate. It is regarded as a masterpiece among ADV games for a reason, and maybe you'll get as much out of this novel as I did out of it. |
