ReviewThis game actually has a pretty good multi-layered story. You will not be able to guess what really happened until the story is unfolded to the end.

The mechanics of this game is also interesting. Most items you get do serve a purpose, making you one step closer to the truth of the mystery. And you often can not pick them up just in the plain sight, you have to make some deductions from the various info you gathered and try to relate to each other for the clues to find the items.

Unfortunately, people with only entry level of Japanese proficiency would not be able to play this game. If your Japanese listening skill is not good enough, you basically would not be able to make much progress. That's because all the dialogs in this game are voice only. There is no subtitle accompanying the voice. Only the protagonist's inner thinking is represented as subtitles.

In this game, there are quite a lot puzzles you have to use your brain to solve. You must comprehend the meaning of the clues instead of just brute-forcing every answer. For example, one password in this game is actually 18 letters long and not that obvious what it should be, especially if you don't already know its length. (Now that I have told you the length, it should have made this password a lot easier.)

However, there is one pitfall (or should I say bug?) for the puzzles. If you are clever enough such that you've guessed the answer correctly even before a certain critical clue appears, the game will reject your correct answer until you get that critical clue first. I was the victim of this bug and it wasted me hours because I thought my initial answer was wrong and didn't try that same answer again even after I got the critical clue later.

I know nothing about Akira Ishigaki before playing this game, and I am somewhat surprised to see him using his real name as one of the main characters, particularly when it is not a positive character but who did really bad things. I wonder whether other characters in this game are also real names. At least Arisa Yuuki's photo album must be all her real personal ones taken from childhood to adulthood.

< report >By any chance, would you perhaps remember how to solve the puzzle with the 探偵手帳?

I already found the tape that said to use the 黒いシートと三ページ目, but no combination I tried has worked so far. I tried exploring other areas, thinking that maybe I was missing something else, but I couldn't find anything.

< report >Nevermind, I used the wrong sheet and didn't notice until now. Make sure to take a break if you get stuck in this game, otherwise you will make mistakes without realizing lol.

< report >Im am also playing the game at the moment.
As for the riddle involving the 4 locks; you need to use the slide card mentioned in the tape.

Currently trying to find that "critical hint" myself... I got the answer but we need proof! (how frustrating).
