ReviewSo, Duette. Doujin novel from creators-to-be of Narcissu.
No romance here, only friendship between two girls. Which are Sayuri and Shiori from famous key's Kanon, by the way. Scenario is mostly about silly things. Like two girls eating ice cream in the middle of the winter. It could be funny for some, but it's still clearly lacking in this department. Drama is weak too, because girls don't even know each other in the beginning and there is no volume to convincingly deepen their bond with each other or the reader. Stage-nana's previous doujin, Eien, relied more to the original novel plot, so it was more believable.
There are some interesting bits towards the end though. Maybe I'm overthinking it, but I have an impression that ending leaves some room for interpretation. And it adds some depth to the plot.

Spoiler:
Like Shiori actually dies, and 'happy-end' is just visions of the dying mind.

Couple of words about technical aspects. Soundtrack is borrowed straightly from the novel (just like in Eien), so it's good. Sprites look fine and there are some pretty CGs, so art-wise it's good too. All in all solid doujin novel.
