ReviewI mainly played this game due to the art even though I read many reviews that may seem like it might be a game I won't enjoy. As someone who usually skip bad ends in otome games and this game forces players to complete bad ends first before you can play the good ends, I ended up really enjoying this game and it became memorable to me. Other points I read from other reviews is that this game contains very minor or subtle BL (many Japanese players on Amazon JP gave one star reviews because of this since this is an otome game) with one of the side characters and one of the LI. As someone who is not a fan of BL, this point didn't even bother me while I was playing or when I finished the game. Despite not enjoying bad ends in otome games, I found the bad ends in this game really beautifully written and it didn't make me feel bad, but instead made me really intrigued to continue to read on. Even in the Japanese LI edition booklet, it contains after stories of the bad ends and those were a pretty interesting read as well. The Stellaworth booklet of the after stories of the good ends was a good read as well since after playing the good ends, you are left with wanting more to know what happened to the main character and LI.

This game is mainly story and does not contain much fluffy moments, and as someone who is a romance focused otome player, I still really enjoyed this game. I would say this game is about 70% story and 30% romance, but don't make this ratio scare you away from playing even if you're romance focused like me since I feel like the story is intriguing enough to make up for the small amounts of romance. The plot and progress of the story did not really feel draggy and felt like it advanced at a steady pace. I think this was also the first otome game that brought me to tears with one of the LI routes and I've already played quite a few otome games already. Some LI routes are longer than others due to plot and story and that's when I wished there was more romance during those times.

I think I would've gave 9.5 stars if I felt like there was more main character and LI connection in the game since the game mostly focused on its plot and did not have much time to focus on the romance aspect of the characters until much later in the game. Despite this point, I still felt like the overall game was beautifully written and even as someone who is usually a bad end skipper in otome games and romance focused, I ended up really enjoying the game. Another thing in this game that I somewhat disliked was that players are forced to do all bad ends first before they can do all the good ends. I feel like this kills the momentum each route had going on and then in the end you kinda have to remember what happened before in each route and then continue onto the good end. Would have been better if they let players just play the good end in the beginning so this momentum is not delayed suddenly in the middle and then players have to remember what happened before. The character connection problem can probably be fixed with a FD though which I won't be surprised if it releases in a few years seeing how well this game did in Japan. I am looking forward to a FD if this game ever gets one as I would love to know more about the after stories of the main character and the LIs!
