| Review | A concise and simple Kung Fu tale of revenge by Urobutcher. Set in a futuristic Cyberpunk Shanghai, a stoic hitman seeks revenge for the tragic fate that befell his beloved sister by the hands of his former friends. Although brief, fight scenes are eventful and described with attention to detail. Various Chinese Martial arts techniques are used and discussed all throughout the story. Indeed, equipped with a sword and by focusing his Qi, the main character uses a powerful Palm Strike akin to an EMP discharge in order to defeat more aggressive and cyber-augmented foes. The point of view from both the main character as well as the villains is shown in order to flesh out character motivation and apprehension of both parties. The VN opens with a sex scene -- do not read this in public. |
