ReviewDefinitely AAA production values and A-tier arts & musics. However the overall plot and logic are disappointingly AA(all-age) level. Those are awfully convenient and served as a path for purely entertaining development rather than a sensible story. It also takes "One thing at a time" guideline to its core design. Most characters represent a single surface-level personality and can be distinguished as "black" or "white" at a time. Almost every scene also focuses on a single conflict or a personal event, rarely ever deliver more than one at a time despite an obviously contradiction when not doing so, thus making it hard for an audience like me who loves to enjoy a chaotic story, with gruesome battles or self-conflicts within characters in a realistic manner. Perhaps it might better this way to widely appeal mainstream audiences.

Fortunately the game's ambition is to include most mainstream monumental moments possible (grand battles, all in final fight, epic heroine rescue, etc.) and having all the events sorted sequentially make it one of a few work I can pour my concentration throughout time into the world without wearing my mind out. Furthermore, I also much appreciate how comfy, relaxing it was during the whole former half, and how pure, simple enjoyment it delivered. So if you want to read an epic story without any depth to give you an headache, Utaware series is a perfect choice for you.
