How about Koikari and Sankaku Renai? They both TLed by NN and typical comedy is not bad either. Sankanku Renai gives me Lamunation vibes.
And for that "inkyaa", if you don't like it, there is a unofficial patch for replace that word. |

#1 Played both. Sankaku's english translation is way more libertine than Koikari's, but enjoyed both in their own way. Sankaku was a bunch of nerds doing whatever nerds do on their freetime, while Koikari had an actual and slightly interesting story structure.
Problem is, if you are coming to Royale from Koikari, you are prone to disappointment, because this game is closer to be a Sankaku. Not because Sankaku is bad, but because it lacks what made Koikari interesting.
[Edit]
Forgot to mention, I really liked how well they portraited Ao in the english release. I love her scenes.Last modified on 2022-10-03 at 03:18 |

It might be a bit obscure, but there is apparently the term "Gloomer" (link) that found some popularity in the same circle. I find it funny and gives me visual thoughts. It expresses pretty much the same, but it is not as politically charged.
Otherwise a "Loner", "Loser", "Weirdo", "gloomy dude" or "introvert" would have sufficed. |

It seems like term of less popular kid that is usually introvert. As far as I am aware we don't know if they are actual angry sexist men if they are Inkya.
No problem if this is intend insult or definition meant to be but most of stuff being associated is mostly pov if its bad or not. While Incel I would say is only a pure insult. |

But google tl itself only gave me "shadow" as a translation, which sounded weird at first. I didn't play the game and the more i read about it the less i want to either. But 115 repetitions of a single word in a 30 hour vn sounds like a fuck-up in itself, regardless how they translated it. I do agree, them taking a buzzword like that of all things has a very bad stink to it, though. |

There's also this useful article going into further details about the term.Last modified on 2022-10-04 at 16:38 |

The translator is definitely a member of the 陽キャ clan. And yes, it is pretty insulting and a "direct attack against its readers", voluntary or not, given that probably most of them would be qualified as such. This has nothing to do with being a misogynistic and entitled scum. Better criticism than one occurrence of manspreading lol. |
