ReviewThis is very unfair review because it's not about the actual content of the Fandisk, but I'm still dropping a low rating.

Hoshizora no Memoria - Eternal Heart - HD does NOT include an option to run in [windowed mode].

Exhibit A (settings in the fandisk): link
Exhibit B (settings from the base game, for comparison): link

I have never seen in over 10 years of media consumption that a VN not only FORCES full-screen natively, but also doesn't work with keyboard shortcuts (alt+enter or alt+f) or window shortcuts (-w, -window, -windowmode).

I will happily adjust the score if a patch is made.

< report >the original HD releases for both hoshimemo and eternal heart had forced full screen so don't think sekai is making a patch for it, the recently released iroseka HD though does have a window option

< report >It's already old news but just as a heads up for people interested in this: they made a windowed mode update later link and link.

This is the one of main reasons why I don't prefer to jump in right away as soon as something is released. I try to wait at the very least 3-4 weeks after a release.

P.S.: I guess op never bothered to adjust their score contrary to what they claimed...Last modified on 2023-05-20 at 01:50

< report >Maybe I'm biased, but isn't full-screen superior to windowed anyway? I mean, I guess if you want to have distractions running in the background it could be a hassle, or if you wanted to follow a walk-through while playing it could be annoying, but I still don't see why so many people were complaining about it.

< report >#3 I personally use an upscale software for vn's and there is no way to run them with games in fullscreen mode with the same quality (at least i'm not aware of them), so windowed mode options is always appreciated
