| Review | Rewrite is one of the few VNs I have come away from without any negatives that spring to mind immediately. Sure, Rewrite does have a few issues, but none of them detracts from the overall experience in any meaningful way that I can realistically mention. Rewrite connected with me on both its characters and its overall narrative for its entire duration in a way few VNs really do. Key has always had a talent for making amazing characters that you can connect with (hence the character-specific route structure), with the main narrative usually taking a back seat until usually the very end. Rewrite manages to take Key's excellent character writing and pair it with an interesting world and overall narrative that hits the ground running much earlier. Which to me makes this a perfect VN. |
