ReviewWell might as well write a review... It's a bit weird and at the end it's the first fandisk that makes me want to rate the original game down. But let's get methodical!

Technical: There are no issues but it's fairly obvious that there was a sudden Engine Change for... some reason. It's actually quite jarring. Like the moment I booted it up I had to look up if they are by the same dev and use the same engine. So it's not better or worse than the original but... different. And it's jarring if you go from one to another right after.

Art/Sound: No change, same visuals and same soundtrack. Everything perfectly okay.

Story: I guess that is where I realized how little substance the original had. You get another common route laying out the original story. I don't hate the original story, I am actually fond of it... but the summary makes it suddenly quite clear that it's not as complicated as they make it out to be. Also you're reminded just how much the routes in the original just... deal with the same thing.

You again get your choice of the two new Routes, or the afterstories. Plus you get another Route for an established Character after you finished the regular two. As for the quality... Minas route is probably the sweetest Route this game has, actually really heartwarming stuff. Akayas... is kinda weird and lackluster but then again... it kinda fits as the two really had no chemistry, the only thing was the hint of being childhood friends and it does not come up in the route... only in Akayas afterstory. I kinda feel the time could have been spent on an actually "new" route and the fact that a BG Character got full bust art it might have been.

In the end it's very much focused on fun, fourth wall breaking jokes and getting a less depressive end for the original.

7/10 In some regards it was funnier and more heartwarming than the original, on the other it lacks the same substance that the original does even if they have the hallmarks of it being there.
