Review | Well this was a surprise to me, even though I played a Laplacian Title before with Newton and the Apple Tree. And somewhat the same feeling of "Oh this is going to be a weird Moege..." I had starting that. And weirdly enough it's just so far removed from the Suspension of Disbelief that you go "Yeah that is probably not worth my time." Going into this I was fully convinced I'd trash it in a review and by the time I realized it's much deeper and more engaging I had already fallen. Let's start with the Technical stuff again: The art is quite well done, the BGM is Jazzy and never obtuse or annoying, I have not encountered Bugs or Typos that I'd have noticed. So from the Start a solid 4-5 on the VNDB Richter Scale. Story: Whowee we're gonna unpack a lot of things during our Playtime, and once you get to the first Choice of the VN with one option cruelly greyed out... You probably feel the same conflict the MC does. And as the story advances you probably forgot that you played a Moege in the first place. This is twists and turns in the story done right. And even if the whole premise sounds like someone taking inspriation of /r/birdsarentreal it really turns up the intensity and backstory. Whoever tagged it "Comedy" on Jast is a deeply disturbed individual. I'd rate the amount of tears to Comedy the same as Nanairo Reincarnation It's a solid 9/10 for me and some weird admiration of Laplacian. It's still weird to me how all of their VNs start with some Scientific premise but explain very little, like an antithesis to the SciAdv series but still manage to merge the weird story and the moege it supposedly is. It's good, not perfect but surprisingly very good for something you'll probably feel little about once you start out. |
