| Review | Hallucinate was a great surprise. I really liked the plot twist at the end. The setting also didn't disappoint. It was creepy, melancholic, and unsettling. Both the soundtrack and the art helped to create this atmosphere, even if they're sparse. It requires good writing to create a story this good and so short. Flanca, unfortunately, couldn't reach my expectations after Hallucinate. Pretentious and too focused on vagueness and mystery to tell a proper story. It's actually a sad portrait of people with sad lives in a sad society but it doesn't develop anything from it – there isn't any character development or any feeling of closure. |
