| Review | Fate/stay night is a masterpiece. It makes great use of the route structure, with each instance building upon the former and adding to the overall character and thematic points that it wants to make. Shirou Emiya is an incredible protagonist, whose increasingly intriguing persona is further and further explored in a new, unique fashion as the story progresses. The romantic protagonists are also handled excellently. Every heroine has their own depth and complexity, and have agency outside of the main character. Almost every character parallels each other in some way, and this makes every interaction intriguing to watch unfold. Fate has become my absolute favorite piece of fiction and I recommend anyone to read it. |
