ReviewA game where two Imperial Japanese soldiers team up with a literal Nazi (wow where have I seen this development before) to beat the shit out of a stoner Chinese mafia leader who has gained god powers because a delusional fangirl screwed up.

It's a crazy game, however it gives me very strong (NOTE THIS IS A SPOILER FOR BOTH THIS GAME AND A DIFFERENT GAME IN THE SPOILER. IT'S QUITE A POPULAR GAME SO YOU ARE SOMEWHAT LIKELY TO HAVE READ IT) Fate/hollow ataraxia vibes with how they dealt with how it's a sequel/fandisc thing, which tbh I have mixed feelings for. The slice-of-life/rom-com elements in general are pretty boring and this game only really shines when someone's fighting.

Like Shizuno is cute and all but idk if it justifies reading all of this.

< report >n.b. I can answer questions but I didn't read any of the Ayumi event scenes, and the only H-scenes I actually read were Shizuno's and Nanten's (let's face it tho they're pretty crap and you didn't buy this game for them, especially because they screwed us out of a Noe/Shouko or Yurika H-scene and had the gall to rub it in our faces)

I thought in general, that this game was clearly inferior to Hachimyoujin (the original game) in pretty much all ways apart from graphics (where it's only a very small step up). I thought that Nanten was in general a boring and annoying character & villain and most scenes they appeared in was kinda a drag to read. Shizuno on the other was a great addition, in both what she added to the plot, her personality and voice. The main villain, Huang Jinlong (i think that's how you write it) had a pretty good backstory and motives, but was introduced way too late in the story to really have the same impact that Amakasu had in the original game.Last modified on 2020-11-15 at 21:39
